Alpe d’Huez is undoubtedly one of the most well-known outstanding
skiing areas of France. It offers serious skiing, as well as the opportunity for
family skiing on gentle slopes with total security on 250 km of slopes and 87
lifts.

For the expert, the skiing here offers a new challenge. The ‘’Sarenne’’ is the longest black run in Europe ( almost 18 kms ) and is notable for its wild, totally unspoiled terrain and outstanding views. Or set off from 3330m on a black and then red runs through the fir trees all the way down to 1100m, without taking off your skis.
There are also extensive opportunities for beginners and intermediates!
In
this privileged environment, the instructors of the prestigious ESF ski-school
will help you progress in the style of your choice: Alpine skiing, boarding, telemark
and cross-country skiing are all possible in the fabulous domain of the Grandes
Rousses.
For non skiers, Vaujany can offer cross-country trails, lovely walks (snowshoes), a new leisure centre including swimming pool with slide and sauna, an open ice-rink and several traditional restaurants, bars and a discotheque.
There is also an exceptional day nursery ( minimum age 6 months) offering good value for money and a small ski school that offers a package for children, which includes 5 hours tuition and a supervised lunch.
